This means not only keeping the games and puzzles fair but it also means that SmartPrize™ is committed to protecting your privacy. You should know how your personal information is used so that you can make informed choices. This Privacy Policy explains which information we collect, how we use that information and what choices you have concerning this information.

In addition, this Privacy Policy applies only to the information that we collect online, not offline.

What information does SmartPrize™ collect?

Users must set up an account to play games and puzzles, enter contests, win cash prizes and receive account information via e-mail.

In ORDER to give you the most exciting Internet experience possible, we may request and/or collect information FROM you on a voluntary basis when you: (1) register with us; (2) shop at any of our online stores (when available); (3) participate in contests, events or promotions; (4) send us questions or comments via e-mail; (5) submit your resume to us online; and/or, (6) fill out online surveys. The requested information may include personal information such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number, and home address. For some activities, we may also ask you to create a password and to provide demographic information such as your age, the gender and birth dates, and puzzle ownership and preferences. If demographic information is collected for an activity that also requires personal information, we may combine the demographic information with your personal information. This allows us to tailor the notices we send you and the content we provide you according to your preferences and interests.

Please note that SmartPrize™ reserves the right to contact players via email regarding financial and administrative matters associated with their account, such as deposit confirmations, password reminders, and technical support.

When you participate in contests, SmartPrize™ needs your real name, e-mail address, credit card number, expiration date and billing address. This allows SmartPrize™ to process contests, reward prizes or money and track funds.

By signing up for an account, you agree that SmartPrize™ may display your player name and competition results. FROM time to time, (usually when you win a prize), SmartPrize™ may ask you to voluntarily provide general demographic and other personal information for inclusion on the SmartPrize™ "Winners" page. In addition, SmartPrize™ also reserves the right to use the information collected to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, as well as new services and special offers you may find valuable. Users that do not want to receive these notifications may opt-out during the registration progress. If you have opted to receive these notifications but no longer wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe FROM promotional e-mails by modifying your e-mail preferences on your account.

We also collect non-personal information that we use to customize your experience on SmartPrize™, including: IP address, Internet service provider, geographic location, browser type, operating system, pages viewed on SmartPrize™, player rating information, cash and prize winnings and game/ puzzle statistics. Although this information is related to your preferences and activity, it is not associated with your personally identifiable information and cannot be linked to you personally.

We collect and use account and other personal information to: comply with law; enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other agreements; and/or protect the rights or property of SmartPrize™, our users, or others.

Cookies and Clear GIFs

A "cookie" is a small DATA file stored in your computer that enables SmartPrize™ to identify your computer, and thus enrich your gaming experience by offering customized content based on previous visits to the site. Some of our advertising is placed by agencies (like Google, Inc.) that may use cookies of their own. You may learn more about how they use this information by visiting their sites. Clear GIFs, sometimes called "Web bugs," are file objects, usually a graphic image such as a transparent one pixel-by-one pixel GIF (Graphics Interchange Format, one of the two most common file formats for images on the Web), that are placed on a Web page or in an e-mail message to monitor user behaviour. The GIF tells us the IP address of the computer that fetched our page, the URL of the page the GIF is on, the time the page was viewed; the type of browser used, and can tell us a previously set cookie value. This anonymous information is returned by the clear GIF to us and we use this information to accurately count visitors across multiple sites and understand how they navigate and use our network of sites.

With whom does SmartPrize.co.uk share my personal information?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and as a result we do not sell it to others. FROM time to time, we may employ and share customers' personal information with entities who use it solely to provide support for the internal operations of our web site (e.g., online product fulfillment, online registration and email services, or technical support).

We may disclose personal information in the good faith belief that we are required to do so by law, including but not limited to disclosure to law enforcement or other government officials in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose you or us to legal liability.

You may review your personal information in your account page. There you can modify information that is incorrect or DELETE information. Information that can be modified includes your password and email address.

What types of E-mails will I receive FROM SmartPrize™?

SmartPrize™ utilizes e-mails to notify you when you win contests, and to let you know of special promotions, events and policy changes. You have the choice to opt-in or opt-out of receiving certain e-mails at any time by modifying your preferences in your account section of the website or during the registration process.

Safeguarding your personal information
SmartPrize™ will only collect personal information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve our legitimate business purposes, and we will take appropriate steps to ensure the security and integrity of any information you provide to us.

You can help maintain your account integrity by selecting passwords that cannot be easily guessed. Take measures to guard them against disclosure and promptly report any security issues to us. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. You are responsible for all actions taken with your user ID and password, including fees charged to your account. If you choose to share your user ID and password or your personal information with third parties, you are responsible for all actions taken with your account and therefore you should review that third party's privacy policy. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password.

When you open a Member account, you are given the option of buying credits via a PayPal account. PayPal is an online payment alternative to credit cards. If you do not already have a PayPal account, you will automatically be taken to the PayPal registration form. Assuming your PayPal account is confirmed, your deposit should be available almost immediately.

How does SmartPrize™ know if I consent to the usage outlined here?

By using the SmartPrize™ Web site, you consent to the collection and use of this information by SmartPrize™. If the SmartPrize™ privacy policy materially changes, those changes will be posted on this page so that you are always aware of what information is collected, how the information is used and under what circumstances the information is disclosed.
